If you have a simple return, you can use them, but you can also save hundreds of dollars and do it yourself. My tax preparer didn't know some simple tax return issues, definitely did not know how to do some forms and forgot to do my total tax return, which I had make sure it was done after double checking my return and watching the entry be made.

We have been having our taxes prepared by H and R Block for many years. Have always been pleased, but this year , the tax preparer , Joyce, was the absolute BEST that we have ever had. Her knowledge of the tax laws, deductions that we didn’t know we qualified for, her friendliness, her ability to communicate in a way that was understandable to us, was exceptional. Go to the office! They all are great,

I have been a long-time H&R Block client, and while this year’s return required more time and effort than expected, the situation was ultimately handled professionally. The preparation process took longer than it should have for what was a straightforward return, and multiple visits were required. We came in to do our taxes and we had the thought we would be able to do the tax loan and we would get it no problem…. WRONG!! What we were not told is that they run your credit and not off what you get for your return… so in my opinion that’s false advertisement and they don’t communicate that to you either … we will NOT be going back her to do our taxes
