I will not do business here again. From H&R blocks end they claim that everything was filed according to their policies and standards. After receiving a letter from the IRS requesting me to verify my identity which I had to wind up calling the IRS on a Monday I was asked the same set of questions by an IRS agent who then proceeded to refile my taxes for me. The tax professional I worked with was lovely patient, helpful and efficient. No complaints on that part. My complaint was about pricing. H and r block as a whole was showing up front pricing. Although I could not find exact pricing other than 99$ + for federal plus state. Okay so theres a chance it will be a tad more than 99 for federal plus a state rate which normally varies around 40-60$. Thats understandable. While the staff are friendly and attentive as well as knowledgeable. I simply can not get behind the fact that there is no transparency for pricing until after the work is done on a clients behest. A client is giving a base estimated price of between $190 to $199 and it goes up based on the clients income tax return. I find this to be insanely ridiculous. If a person were to receive $197 on their return and H&R charged them $244 then that person would only in actuality be making a $45.00 profit on the return. Very expensive ... read more
