I have used HR Block tax filing services in Williston for the past two years. The first year was great and the second year was a complete disaster. My partner and I had an in-person appointment back in mid-March, and only this week (early September) do I finally have confirmation from the IRS that they have received my 2023 taxes and are sending me my refund. Don't file with HR Block if you have any ounce of complexity to your return. 2022 - just received an audit letter from the IRS stating I owe $2,000 from 2022. Turns out HR Block misfiled Restricted Stock Unit income. 2023 - HR Block claimed we owed $28,000. They escalated to someone with "more experience", still claimed we owed $8,000. Again, misfiling of RSU income. I worked with an accountant, we owed less then $2,000. Terrible.

Bait and switch price promises then 300+ dollars. For 20 minutes of work for them to not answer any tax related questions for the rest of the year.
