I contacted Mr. Howery about my great grandfather's violin. We needed someone to let us know if it was worth repairing. We love the old violin just as it was, but we hoped to make it playable once more. Mr. Howery was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to tell us so much about the instrument that we, as a family, never knew. He was able to restore the violin to not only look great, but it sounds the way my mom remembered her Papa Willie would play the violin. Mr. Howery is very talented and most helpful. Will did a thorough analysis of my violin and then replaced the bridge, which was too high, replaced the e string tuner, which was digging into the varnish, ordered the new strings I wanted and replaced them, adjusted my sound post and rehaired my bow - all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Will Howrie. He is a skilled luthier and I appreciate the time he spent explaining everything he recommended and why. Will resolved the issues with my violin and it sounds significantly better now!

Will did a fantastic job on my recent bow re-hair. We’re fortunate to have such a wonderful luthier on Amelia Island.
