I had a fantastic experience taking Modern Business Portraits with Michael Carr. He had such an array of backgrounds to choose from in his studio (desks, chairs, accent tables, blank walls, etc.), which was so much better than a standard business headshot. He was also fantastic to work with, had great attention to detail, made me feel so at ease, and really prioritized taking pictures that showed my specific personality. Also, the entire staff was so professional and helpful through the experience. I highly recommend!

So maybe a professional photographer is a bit overkill for just a passport photo? But I'm really glad I booked Michael Carr Photography for this service -- it was just a half hour of my time, and they took their time and expertise to make sure that I looked as good as possible. I had the photos in hand when I left. I thought the price was reasonable and worth it. (And now I won't have to be despondent every time I pull out my passport LOL.)
