Tastefully maximalist, House 15143 houses an eclectic mix of vintage and high quality home goods, with some bits of random lower quality things thrown in - or seasonal things of course, especially around the holidays. Staff are friendly but not overbearing in any way: you can browse at your own pace. There’s a lot to take in across two small levels, but it’s definitely all “local” themed even if not everything is made locally - so that’s my one real gripe, wish it could showcase even more created inside PA/local cities.
Nice stuff however the lady behind the counter doesn’t say hello or welcoming at all. Second time I’ve been there and she is very stand off ish. Probably won’t go back
I personally preferred the selection and feel of the store during my last visit (pre-Covid). This time, the store seemed dark/cavernous, and the first-floor selection was comprised primarily of ornaments/signs. I wasn't greeted when I walked in, and when I asked a question, received a brisk response. Perhaps I would have felt differently if I felt more welcome, as the store is definitely unique.
I love going into Sewickley on a weekend afternoon, particularly in the fall and holiday season. This little store is a must everytime. The decor is homely, rustic, festive and feels good. Everyone who works there is welcoming and completes the charm.
Interesting shop with out of the ordinary items. Nice to see different things.
