My husband and I visited there recently. It was a very pleasant outing! The grounds are spacious and the flowers were pretty ! We also enjoyed lunch there seated in a beautiful , Southern style restaurant ! The food was delicious !
Love Houmas House, the gardens, the gift shop and the restaurants!

The food was outstanding and we can’t for get out waitress Ms Lauren she was super sweet to us!! The Room we stayed it was clean and very nice and accommodating for us also! We give the entire place a 5 ⭐️ rating!
If you are looking for something different for a weekend getaway, this is the place to be. The gardens are beautiful, the history is educational and enlightening, and the bar and restaurant were amazing. The service here is wonderful as well from the front desk to the service for dinner and breakfast. Our room was extremely comfortable. We brought our 15 year old son, who was able to put his phone down long enough to take walks by himself and enjoy some great food too.
We have stayed here several times ~ it’s Very professionally consistent. The staff is out of this world ~ the most accommodating of any place I’ve ever stayed. The grounds of the plantation and surrounding areas of the property are simply Magnificent ~ every turn holds art, Massive waterfalls places to rest in little nooks on the grounds. There’s even a trail with gnomes. Staff transports you in a golf cart to every meal and every place you want to go on the grounds to see ~ they know the full story of the plantation. Awesome hospitality. Incredible food. Incredible food. Beautiful grounds. Very interesting house tour and museum. And the food was incredible.
The Inn at Houmas House is our favorite getaway. We have stayed there I think 5 times and even Honeymooned here. Excellent food, and service. The golf cart guys are always the best, and the escape from the hustle and bustle of everything is always just what we needed. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained. Do yourself a favor and visit Houmas House!
