My mother lived at Hope Woods, and after everything that has happened, I cannot recommend this facility. Hope Woods is independent living. My mother was not living in a memory-care unit or a nursing facility. Yet people there became involved in matters concerning her cognitive condition and family situation in ways I believe were completely inappropriate for an independent-living community. The office staff have been very responsive to maintenance needs, came through quickly when an appliance failed on us this week. Ralph delivered a replacement within an hour with his usual grace. I expect sobbing in the halls long past his and Suzie's departure this week for greener pastures.
