Growing up in Rosedale queens, hook creek park and hook creek road was to notable places in our area. I thought the water was a swamp as a kid . But it was a creek , one of nyc most famous creeks. Plus it was right next to jfk airport. You can see the planes and you can hear them really close. Like when I use to live on 223 street 4 blocks from hook creek road. I could feel the house vibrating when ever the planes flew overhead,I will never forget those days.

Chilling on the calm water is the best
If u want to see the planes from jfk then go to this place because u can see many planes take off or landing in 31R runway
