It's all about the money. Which I understand - but they crossed the line when they released a patient that couldn't walk because insurance wasn't going to cover anymore. I, the daughter, offered to pay for an additional day vs risk harm. Once home, I called Homewood looking for a wheelchair to assist me. No go. The patient ended up back in the ER - 1 hour later.
