Extremely disappointing experience with Mechanics Bank. We were customers with HomeStreet Bank for nearly six years before it transitioned to Mechanics Bank, and the difference in service has been night and day. What used to feel like a relationship with a bank now feels like dealing with a completely unhelpful bureaucracy. I miss Home Street Bank. Too many people doing things other than helping the customers in the branch. New people "training" newer people; everyone figuring things out as they go. It takes forever to get your business done.

I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone, ever. My boyfriend made his mortgage payments in cash in the branch, but they never once made him aware that there was a problem with his loan. We are facing foreclosure, and his credit has been devastated by this. We've been trying for months to get the loan straightened out but are told different things by different people when they happen to answer the phone. The communication at this bank is terrible. Worse branch. Avoid if possible! Highly unprofessional, there was no signage and posted hours are until 6pm on Friday yet the bank was closed at 5 👎🏾

I was told that as long as I had a certain minimum amount in my business account, then my account would remain active, and I wouldn't be charged anything more. However, when I decided to close my account since I am no longer doing business, they were taking money out of my account charging me this whole time without letting me know.
