I tried to log into my online banking account while I entered my username and password correctly. I also tried to click “Forgot Username and Password but unfortunately still didn’t work. The mechanics bank loves to extremely give a hard time to their customers by not simplifying the verification. This is the only bank that I had a bad experience logging in. I will stop my direct deposit and go to the branch to close my account. I hate banks that give me so much stress and that’s not a kind of life I want.
I would give half a star if possible. I phoned back because a household member answered the phone, but there was no translator available to pass on a message. They hung up and blamed the call being terminated. Lack of professionalism and bad customer service; I prefer simple and upfront communication, and they were merely skirting the issue. As a result, one must now visit the branch when, in most cases, the cause for contact could be handled over the phone.
I hope you never have to call customer service through the main line. My average call time is 2.5 hours and that doesn't mean we have resolved anything. I called customer service today to ask how to fill out my bill pay so i can make an auto payment for my business loan. Total time on the phone today: 2hr 9 mins and I ended up leaving a message for hopefully the right department. As a new customer to Homestreet Bank, I want to recognize & thank Alexis & Tim for a job well done in their Santa Clara branch. I was pressed for time, needed immediate attention and they were fantastic. They were both friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
