I am a caregiver for a resident who has been at Homestead of Shawneee for 2 and a half years. As a result of my first hand experience I have asked my family to place me there if the need should arise. My reasons for this decision are: 1. The room layout is very comfortable with a large bedroom separate from a large living area and kitchenette. 2. Our mother was at Homestead of Shawnee for two years and we were very pleased with the the staff and facilities at Homestead. The staff always went the extra mile in their care and attentiveness to our mother's daily needs and well-being. As our mother's age-related health issues progressed, the staff embraced her decline and continued to care for her with patience and kindness. Great facility, clean, organized, friendly nursing and staff. An excellent place to put your loved ones. Highly recommended.
