My father Gary Thomas lived at Homestead of Eudora KS, on the Assisted Living side for about 9 months beginning in 2019, before it was decided he needed more care & he had Alzheimer’s. So he was put on memory care side & received wonderful care & treatment! I was very happy with his care. The staff was on top of everything, was caring, & compassionate with him & all the residents. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! I should have known quickly when my Mother tried to leave shortly after I got her settled into her new surroundings. Instead of consulting with me, they immediately moved her into their so called Memory Care seclusion area. My Mother was an extremely social individual and nothing against the individuals that resided there, she was no longer able to communicate with anyone except the sorely under staffed employees. Homestead of Eudora is a lovely place! They have very fun activities with the best activities director ever Rebecca. The staff are very friendly. Dawn Hill the Executive director is very helpful and sweet. The head nurse Jenny definitely cares about her residents and will do anything to help. Susan the assistant head nurse is also very helpful and friendly. The residents get three meals a day + snacks if they want it. There is daily bingo, and daily (easy) exercise for elders.
