Very disgusting experience at the Mohegan Lake location. A rug marked as “ clearance ” and reduced from $150 to $120 rang up at full price. The manager (Cody) stated the tag was “obviously” switched and directly accused me of switching it. I was willing to pay full price and did — being publicly accused of dishonesty was unacceptable and unprofessional. This should have been handled with basic respect, especially from a “manager”. DISGUSTING.

I wanted to share how great of an experience I had at my local HomeSense. After visiting three other stores where there were zero Hanukkah items, I called ahead just to ask if they even had Hanukkah candles so I wouldn’t have to waste any more time. The manager went above and beyond.. she personally searched the store, found them, and when I arrived at the store even walked me over to the Hanukkah section herself, and was incredibly kind the entire time (including being sweet to my dog, which never goes unnoticed). Zero stars for the manager with blue hair who refused to honor a $0 price tag on an item my friend found. After the manager explained the item was on the floor by accident, she averted eye contact and pretended she couldn’t hear my friend, who was respectfully expressing herself (and spending $200 on other items). Five stars for the gentlemen employees who brought her rug to the front of the store and helped to load it into her car. Two stars overall because the manager made the whole store look unprofessional and rude.
