-Home Discomfort Experts are not local to Fort Wayne, but Mishawaka. When you try to contact them, all calls are routed through Mishawaka. The manager told me they maintain an office here. -Originally I was told it would take 3 to 5 days to get the part. Their parts are ordered from the manufacturer which in my case took almost two weeks. This saves them money at the expense of service to customers. So far, very happy with the service and equipment. They came out on one of the hottest days, within a couple hours of our call, and took their time to inspect our aging system. We had to replace the AC unit, and decided to also get an upgraded furnace. They came out within a couple days, installed everything, cleaned up beautifully, and I noticed that my electricity cost dropped quite a bit with the new system a month later. Tried to sell me an $8000 system. Called to get a second opinion and was told the condensing fan needed to be replaced. Paid $350 formthenrepairnand nonissue for past two months.

I wrestling with writing this as I have never given a bad review for anything in the past. Things happen....people make mistakes. However, in this case, after several months, I can't accept the way I was treated. I called a technician out to look at my AC unit It was under warranty and installed only a few years previous. I was adamant with the customer service person that I wouldn't pay for the service call because of the costly warranty. They determined the control module was bad and the repair would be $1200.
