Nice resort. They do nickel and dime you on everything. There are so many good eats on the boardwalk you really don't need to pay the prices in this resort. Rooms are beautiful and nicely appointed. Parking at $35.00 per day is steep for guests of the hotel. Especially since parts of it aren't even finished! Don't drink there. The drinks are weak and it will cost you mucho $$$ to get wasted away in Margaritaville!
Just returned from a staycation to celebrate 9 years of marriage to my hubby. Can't say enough good things about this resort. This place transports you and almost makes you forget you are in Hollywood. We have two young kids at home so we really enjoyed the quieter 11th floor pool with its amazing view. The only thing that could have made it better would be if it we're an 18 and older pool like some resorts have. There was an opening at the bar so I walked up to order my drink (there was food at the bar, but nobody sitting there). I was planning on taking my drink and moving to another spot at the bar. A group of people started complaining to the manager because I invaded their territory by ordering my drink. This was clearly a case of reverse discrimination. I was told by the manager to move to another location.
I was pretty excited for our stay at Margaritaville. Knowing that this was a brand new resort, I was expecting some kinks, and I was correct. The decor of the resort is everything you would expect from the Margaritaville chain, with references to song lyrics and beach and drinking vibe. All the hype for this place for nothing! Bad service mediocre food and the worst the valet lost our car keys made us wait for 40 minutes while they look for it!
Stayed there this weekend and was over all ok, however, drinks at the Margaritaville Restaurant were lacking liquor (by far) and valet parking was ridiculously expensive. Never saw that coming.
It was OK. Fun vibe. Went to the landshark bar and Grill. Finished my drink, waitress asked me if I wanted another one. I said yes, and it never arrived. Instead she brought the check. The french fries, which are so simple to get right, were soft and mushy and cold inside. Again, nothing to write home about, but I assume during the day it's a bit of a better experience.
