My wife was represented by Michele Bernard in a family-law matter. Based on our experience, I would not recommend her. During the case, a Motion to Stay was filed and no opposition was filed on my wife’s behalf. After the stay was granted, my wife repeatedly asked what order governed her timesharing and asked Michele to seek clarification from the trial court. Paid for her services as a guardian ad litem. My daughter told her repeatedly that she didn't feel safe with her father. Michele said he should get more time. Worked with her during covid. Michele couldn't leave her home, because she was concerned about exposure and safety. It was fine for my young daughter to fly across the country during a pandemic. I would not recommend her services. She also lied under oath about what my daughter's therapist told her.
I was so hesitant to write this review, but then I thought about how Michele could be doing the same thing that she did to me to others, and that’s just beyond wrong. During the first 4 years as my lawyer, Michele was amazing. Sometimes her replies and/or answers to my questions would take awhile, but that was ok, I trusted her. This past March she was able to help me with a significant positive milestone in my case. But when the other side appealed, everything changed. Shame on this woman. She took an oath of admission upon being licensed. She is not worthy of gaining credibility based on the O'Mara law firms reputation. I sincerely suggest you keep her on a short leash and watchfull eye. Shame on Michele Bernard Esq Florida Bar No. 43298
