I’ve been a member of various YMCA’s throughout my life and hoped to continue that tradition with my children. I went as far as supporting this location through COVID paying my membership fees while we couldn’t even go there. We left for 18 months but joined again recently. I have had numerous issues with child watch staff failing to handle basic child care needs and overstepping boundaries and disrespecting parental authority. I spoke with management numerous times, yet the issues persisted. Finally, it peaked when lifeguards failed to pay attention to children swimming in the pool. It has become a running joke in our home that when I go to the pool at the YMCA it’ll be closed. I’m standing in the men’s locker room right now getting my clothes on again looking like boo boo the fool. I get that there’s staff shortages and all and the chemicals get messed up and it rains but it’s well over 50% of the time I come these days. I used to have such awesome experiences here.
