Worst car rental experience I have ever experienced in MY life and MY Family. The cars are totally over worn out auction cars that are actually the rentals without proper service. The office lady, Shannon from the Hoffman NC location is NEVER in the office to assist during Google hours. And, i mean Never. I went through at least 4 different rental cars and every car I complained about , Sharon told ME the customer to take the car over to Littles auto to get it serviced. The only reason I came here was because I work out of town I needed a rental because my car was in the shop. I come here get the car everything was fine I extended my rental. I drove to Alabama because that's where my next job was. I called to extend it we (me and the guy at the front desk) spoke about me being in Alabama and when I'd be home. Okay I send my elderly grandparents in to pay for the extension I only needed it for 2 more days. He charges me for the end of the week and would not give my grandparent the money back... read more
Terrible, terrible experience. Left in a tight spot because of the US Open in town and our previous reservation with an established rental service was canceled. This was a last resort and I wish we would have believed the reviews. Got into this van with it completely empty, gas light shining. Also showing the oil change light. We were given a choice of 2 vans and chose this one as the tires on the other van were bald. This van is a 2012 with over 230k miles. Hoffman rentals Lumberton Nc is not a good place to rent any vehicles he charged my pastor $750 for our Easter weekend trip to Gatlingburg pigeon Forge Tennessee from 27th to 31st we had to get to rear tires on the van 15 passenger van also the slide door to van doesn’t open from outside then on the way back that sun we left at 10:30 am in morning got out of Tennessee to Nc line the home office to Hoffman rentals was 3 hours away from where we broke down at mine you we had 9 people plus a 3 year old baby we could’ve been dea... read more
