A good company to work for. I worked there 4 years. Never missed a home time. Never a shorted check. Got decent money. I liked that they have different colored trucks instead of all the same colors. They keep good equipment. Sometimes it's stressful because it's trucking. Trucking can be a very stressful job, but they do a good job making it as pleasant as they can for the drivers.
Terrible business practices and completely unprofessional behavior from one of their employees, Michael Freeman. He showed up at my store in a company vehicle, blocked access with a huge truck, and went out of his way to trash a friend’s business. This kind of harassment while on the job is unacceptable. If this is how H&M Trucking allows their employees to act, I would stay far away. Completely unprofessional!!! Who do you think you are ruining other business and ok with it. Extremely disappointed with the behavior I witnessed from H&M Trucking, specifically an employee named Michael Freeman. While on the clock and driving a company vehicle—a massive monster truck—he came to my store and intentionally blocked access, disrupting my business operations. What’s worse, he then went out of his way to trash talk another local business owned by a friend of mine. Driver Michael freeman based out of Maryland is the most unprofessional driver and would never trust this company if he is handling your dispatches. Called our buisness to inform us he is car shopping when he is supposed to be on a route but can make a detour on his way and if we could help him park his 18 wheeler. We thought it was strange that a company wouldn't track their drivers when loads need to be handled and allow 18 wheelers to be used for personal use.
