Lovely 1800s era canal town reenactment. They have costumed and themed enactments if you take the paid tour. Several special events throughout the year. Especially loved the Christmas candle lighting. Very nice time for the whole family. Best food we had was at the Bear diner and at Roscoe BBQ.
We really enjoyed our visit to Roscoe Village! The lady in the Visitors' Center was a little less than enthusiastic, however it was a holiday weekend and there were not many people at all, so she was probably just bored and ready to go home. We loved the shops and the displays! The lady making brooms was very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a small shop where all items are made locally, as well as the shop with an abundance of dog and cat items and the shop that is connected to that. Very charming little town, with interesting shops. Also some interesting stuff to see within walking distance of the town.
