Normally would never leave a nasty review but I was just treated so rudely I had to. I went in to look at a pair of pants because if heard about their going out of business sale, and based on the way I was treated by the owner I can see why they are! When I asked them to confirm the price and showed them the msrp on my phone the owner didn’t even respond, and pointed to the front door! Found some great prices, as the store was 30% off. One of the employees, Max, helped me out and found some great outdoor gear for the coming season.
For 15 years this has been one of my all-time favorite outdoor goods stores. They know their stuff and sell high end gear. They were forever my go-to shop for things like Western Mountaineering bags, Arcteryx and Filson. Sad to see them go, and while this review won’t make much difference to their future, I want to see a great old-school shop like this go out on a high note from a loyal customer. overpriced old-school outdoor shop. closing in a few wks, 30% off stuffs in the entire store. however, they tried to over-charge for the items w/o labels. bought a Helle blade at, claimeably originally over a hundred, for $49. figured later it's actually a $28 item at the Helle site. my mistake not checking it earlier, however, it was a dishonest sales. the owner was also pretty arse about me double calculating the price—i bought some other stuffs too—threatening he'd cancel for the other customers. well, i've waited for abo... read more
Today I experienced the worst customer service / basic human treatment ever in a store. I had heard that they are closing the end of the month and 30% off the whole store so yesterday I passed by to get hiking boots. I tried on a couple of pairs and selected one. There was a very friendly worker.
