I highly recommend Hilo Auto Sales for renting a car while in Hilo. If you come in on a cruise ship Hilo Auto Sales is a short walk from the ship. The car they reserved for us was comfortable and reliable. It was raining when we we returned the car and one of the employees took us back to the ship. Great product, great customer service, good people to do business with.
Great place to rent a car. Close to the airport and both cars were just what we needed. Excellent price. There was a mechanic there to check on a warning tire light and made sure it was just a sensor issue.
Best price I could find, very nice two year old car, friendly accommodating and helpful when our flight got diverted from Hilo to Kona This company has earned my repeat business.

Rented here recently while in port for the day. Very close to the cruise terminal, an easy walk for us. The process to rent online was fine, Rick was very helpful answering my questions. The car we got was an older Impala, which was cool, a bit of nostalgia for me, as I drove one of these when I was much younger! The car was in excellent shape, clean inside and out, and well maintained. We did not do as much driving as I had planned originally, but we had a great day in a classic car, so that was fun.
