Great owners who renovated the suites and are working on other improvements. The driveway is away from St Charles along the gravel road by the wooden mansion with a chapel at the top of the hill. The house on St Charles is not part of the property. There is no passage from the parking lot near the church.
No retirement place ever rates 5 stars. Especially if there for profit. Some really great nurses there being asked to do a thankless job by the owner. If your loved one is suffering from server dementia or Alzheimer's this is the place. Other wise look else where for their well being.
We had my mother in a chain retirement home where she was left on her own when we were promised all the help she required. Anything outside of the basic rent was an extra at a huge cost. Hillside includes all the extras at no cost, is small and more personal. The staff is fantastic and the care even better. The cost is about 20% less but my mother is comfortable and happy. We are extremely happy we made the choice. Thank you to Karen and staff.
