TERRIBLE Customer Service. Non existent, really. Ordered a bed with frame from Bed Bath and Beyond. It was shipped directly from Hillsdale. Came damaged with parts missing. The instructions that came with the order said to call 502-562-0000 if there is a problem or parts are missing. That is a Hillsdale phone number. I called them and they pretty much said "Why are you calling us? Call BBB." I called BBB and of course, they have no idea about the parts that are missing. I'm just getting the run around. The product is fine if you don't have a problem with it. Customer service is greatly lacking. I ordered two Hillsdale bar stools through Home Depot. The first one assembled just fine. The second one, could not get chair back to fit into seat part and I was missing three small washers in the hardware pack. Home Depot said I had to contact Hillsdale. Called Hillsdale and told I had to fill out form on-line, which I did. They sent a new chair back which didn't fit either but with the help of a second person using a hammer ... read more
I originally purchased 4 chairs. The chairs look good and are comfortable BUT are of very poor quality regarding fit and assembly. I wound up buying a 5th chair just so I had some extra parts to a make the other 4 assemble better. They did send me a replacement chair when I advised them one leg was damaged on one chair. All I needed was a leg and they sent me a complete chair. I used the parts on the complete chair to correct problems on other chairs. Do not buy from this company. Got a headboard and there was no post in the box.Called Hillsdale they said we don't carry parts they were really hateful and did not care.
"I will try to make this explanation of why I gave this company one star as short as possible. It is kind of a long story, but worth your time to read before purchasing anything from Hillsdale. 1) When I originally ordered this bed set, I made the mistake of ordering a full set instead of a king. The original full set came with a head and foot board, four posts and a mattress frame.
