It’s been 5 months since my mom passed away and I still feel the guilt . While my mother was in her dying phase, she was in a room (same room she had) with two other people…one who had the tv on constantly. We were not able to sit in peace with her. I asked about hospice or another room. They said they didn’t have another room and they did everything a hospice nurse would do. I wish I pushed the issue. I’m so sorry for my mom . I wish we could have just sat with her and with our family.
A quick update, It's been 7 months since my moms passing and I've still not received a speck of sympathy from the administration. It's like she never lived there at all (and she lived there for 3 years). I'm totally disgusted. My mom was a resident here for 3 years, not a phone call or sympathy card when she passed away. They have some caring staff but the administrators leave a lot to be desired. Half the time they didn't even return my phone calls. If you want a responsive and caring team, look elsewhere.
