This facility is a mess and management doesn’t care, there are several residents with money and jewelry and gift cards coming up missing, staff disappearing and not answering call lights or making residents wait for their meds if they even get their meds. Residents in memory care either getting double briefed or not briefed at all, staff not doing their rounds, if they were, residents wouldn’t be waking up completely soaked or without a brief on. Buyer Beware, don’t let the new finishes fool you. Hillcrest Highlands in Gretna charge a flat rate not based on the level of care. That level of care is shady. Their personal aides have no medical backgrounds. But when the level of care for my mom increased they failed. We had Hospice come in, thank god. Hospice was our voice, but Hillcrest Highlands stilled failed our family expectations of level of care. Jeff O. You're not lying or wrong about anything you mentioned. Unfortunately it doesn't matter which Hillcrest you are at they are all heavily plagued with the problems you mentioned as well as other problems. I would never consider Hillcrest for myself or a family member even if I didn't have the option. Until management is replaced and decent individuals are hired to do these jobs the problems will continue and probably get worse. Do not let the new buildings, fresh décor, and nice appearance fool you. In our experience, the problems at Hillcrest Highlands of Gretna run much deeper. The facility appears severely understaffed, and the level of day-to-day attention residents receive does not match the image presented during tours or on the website. One very troubling incident involved my mother being left sitting in her wheelchair at the lunch table after she had spilled on herself. She sat there for nearly two hours before anyone noticed her.
