Hilda's has strictly became a private school uniform store since somewhere in the 1990s! I remember back in the day in its original spot on Compton Blvd, they used to sell dressy dresses for little girls, Shirley petticoats to wear under them, dress socks with the lace, suits for little boys and dress socks for them too and had a Stride Rite shoe store inside!
