I had high hopes for this senior center, but after a few months of membership, I’m left with mixed feelings. The price is unbeatable—$20 a year, and you even get a free bus pass for a month, which pretty much pays for itself. The problem lies in the service, which is less than welcoming. The staff is surprisingly... unhelpful, to put it kindly. They often come across as a bit entitled and act like they’re doing you a favor when they finally acknowledge you. For $20 a year you have access to clases, exercise classes and other activities. For $5 more you can have access to the Highland YMCA pool. on Central and 6th st. everyday and a water arobics class so.
