My daughter was diagnosed with alpha gal at four years old. She went into anaphylactic shock after receiving the MMR and varicella vaccine. at that time, we had no idea that she had alpha gal. It was only after the vaccines that we figured it out. Due to her being injected with gelatin (that is what the vaccines were housed in), it made her reaction to animal products so extreme.
