Not only is this an absolute gem if you have a kid that loves science/nature, and we had an absolutely amazing time hosting my son's birthday party here! I went to the lake to fish, and it's awesome. The tackle shop is great and going straight into Whalon Lake is really nice.
Always a fun place to visit. Lots of things for toddlers and young children to interact with. Shirt easy trails. Can easily walk to Hidden Lakes and back. Always lots of deer and small mammals to see.
Nice forest preserve with nature center. You can take a short hike from the nature center in get to the DuPage rive and Walon Lakes. There are also a few trout fishing ponds with a small bait shake and snack house.
