The drivers do their best to stay on time and are very friendly. You can tell they deal with a lot of fussy people but they deal with people well. The bus line usually has a hard time keeping up with their route times later in the day but it is mostly because they are accommodating handicapped/disabled folks getting on and off the bus as well as people calling in route diversions, which makes the drivers go out of their way several blocks, even though the person could've just walked a block to get to the route and not dela... read more
I see some late comments here, so I want to add one that explains how difficult their job can be. Today, my 5-year-old missed the bus because he had to pee. We were inside for no more than three minutes, but I found out that their policy is to only wait one minute. We were at the door as the driver pulled away, but did not make it in time. I think they probably do a good job of balancing, but I was frustrated with them today.
If i could give less i would. More often than not the bus is late, usually by an hour. i have even seen it be more than 2 hours late before. Nobody picks up the phone, and if you do the dispatcher is always rude, and has no idea what is going on on the first place, even if your just asking for what time a bus is scheduled to be by a stop on the route. Literally the most unreliable public transportation ive ever even heard of.
The dial a ride is rarely ave to help us out, always offer another time that is an hour later. I wonder if they can be late for work by an hour. If you advertise a "Dial a Ride" you should be able to satisfy a customer occasionally. Northfield Minnesota for crying out loud.
For being basically the only public transport available in Northfield they sure don't function at all. Where are the summer hours? It's literally not written anywhere. I'm always sent to voicemail 7 days a week. It's such a waste, and for students who don't have a car and have depended on dial a ride this is a nightmare.
