I had a terrible experience with Hertz through Uber. The car I was given was in disgusting and unsafe condition: it had cockroaches inside, broken seats, damaged door panels, a steering wheel “fixed” with electrical tape, a rear bumper that was already hit, and even house paint stains on the outside. My experience with Hertz in Orlando (Uber partnership) has been extremely disappointing. The majority of the employees are rude and unhelpful, with the exception of Mr. Don, who is the only decent person I’ve encountered there. The service is terrible — every time you go to resolve something, you end up wasting at least half of your day. They don’t treat you like a valued customer. I made a reservation one week in advance to pick up my car at 10 AM. I arrived at 9:50 and took a ticket, which indicated a 40-minute wait. I ended up waiting for 2.5 hours before being called. The environment was poor, with very few staff members—only three in total attending customers. When it was my turn, I was assisted by the person at the middle desk (J.T. or something like that).
