I am extremely disappointed with the condition of the van we rented for our trip. The vehicle is clearly not properly cleaned or sanitized between rentals. It strongly reeks of coconut, which is not just unpleasant but a serious issue, as my husband is allergic. In addition to the odor, the second-row seat belts do not function, nor do the air vents. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is an absolute scam, and do not even bother with calling corporate, they are a complete joke. Their system allows you to book a pick up time for when they are closed. This location says they are unable to communicate with you after it is booked to inform you that you booked for closing hours, and ask you to come in early, even though they know it is a common issue. I had an existing reservation. However, due to my ID being slightly bent, the staff member at the desk was unable to verify my government-issued driver's license using their system. They were unwilling to seek assistance or explore alternative methods to complete the verification process. This experience has led to a loss of confidence in Hertz, and I do not plan to make future bookings with them.
