Hertz at Urbandale has a great team. I enjoy working with them.
Not a good experience. Paid for and rented a vehicle for a trip. Website showed that there were 16 vehicles available. Got a call the next day from the office saying that there actually were no vehicles available for the time I had rented. OK, it happens. I guess? Who doesn't work with IT systems that are a little janky, etc. But it has been over a week now and I still have not been able to get the office to refund the rental of the car that was not given to me. Jon works in the Urbandale location on 100th and he is so good at his job. I rent from him regularly for business trips and he even knows what radio station I like and has it set for me when I get in the car. I have been very impressed by Jon!
This was the absolute worst car rental experience I’ve had! I had rented a vehicle for my work trip (in advance). I show up at 8AM the day of my trip. I get in and was told they don’t have a vehicle for me and could possibly have one the next day! This was for a business trip, I cannot wait for the next day!! They did not call or email prior. They told me they called, but they did not! I also asked if they did call with no luck why not send an email (I had the confirmation of my rental). They didn’t have an answer for that. ... read more
