Reserved car. Got text messages all day about picking up car. Got there via Uber and was told they had no cars and told don't bother coming anytime during your 1 week rental because we won't have cars then either. Noticed online I could still reserve a car despite what I was being told. Ask gentlemen if he could make a note on my reservation seeing the period began and I could not cancel it as I did not want to be charged. I My experience with the Hertz branch in Syracuse was very disappointing. I was given a vehicle that had sustained various forms of damage and was covered in salt, making it difficult to inspect properly. Minutes after picking it up, I took time-stamped photos showing that the damage already existed. Nevertheless, I was later accused of returning the vehicle with that very same damage. Dear Hertz Customer Relations, I respectfully reject the conclusions communicated in your response because they are not supported by the documentary evidence I am submitting. Throughout my rental, I complied with my contractual obligations and followed every procedure required under the Hertz/Uber program. I did not have the authority to authorize preventive maintenance, repairs, or inspections. Those decisions belonged exclusively to Hertz.
