My wife and I did a reservation 3 weeks in advance. We prepaid for it. But when we arrived at the place they told us that no cars were available, that we were fourth in a waitlist and that we may want to make another reservation at the airport which would costs over 1k more than what we prepaid. (Adding to that that they could not guarantee us the SUV we booked, so we would be getting a sedan.) In my opinion, you should avoid this or any Hertz.
Had reserved car 3 months in advance. Showed up to find they overbooked and no car was available. They indicated this happens alot.
