Hertz of Slidell is absolutely the WORST rental car company I have ever had anything to do with. I BOOKED and RESERVED a one-way rental from Slidell to Salt Lake City, Utah on July 11th, 2025. I was planning on helping my daughter in her move to that area to be with her husband, who she recently married, and who is stationed with the military there. Worst customer service ever. Went to pickup my CONFIRMED rental & they tell me a whole new price on top of not being able to use my card after the person already put my card on file!!! Then, we couldn’t even get the rental. TERRIBLE DO NOT RECOMMEND.
This place is absolutely despicable for this city. The cars are never ready at pickup time. It does Not matter if the ladies inside act nice, if you have to have a seat and wait until Jesus returns to obtain your vehicle. They have to go out and clean the vehicle for another 35-40 mins each time. They had issues with their I.D. scanning machine and are ignorant to troubleshooting. My daughter rented a vehicle from them and they didn’t give her the car they wanted and they paid them and they charged her card taking more out her account and trying to have her insurance pay for a nick in the window that you can barely see never rent from them they are horrible.
