I made a reservation and they essentially told me the day before to take a hike and find somewhere else to get a car because they don’t have any vehicles. What is the point of making a reservation in the first place? They also made the call right before closing so that I couldn’t call them back. Embarrassment

The staff was helpful, but it seemed like only one of the people working there actually knew what they were doing. Everything took forever. They added my spouse as a second driver, which should be free, but when I handed the car in a different location, there was a charge after all. It was hard to convince the people in the return location that the second driver was my spouse, since the people at this location filled in my spouse's middle name as her last name, so things didn't match. Honestly one star isn’t low enough. I showed up within the two hour pickup window as the contract and website states. Turns out they gave the car away to another customer. They didn’t call, didn’t text, not one attempt to communicate that they had given my reservation away. When I asked if they had anything else they said no and proceeded to tell me that even though they gave the reservation away I was responsible for getting a refund. They gave me the AI phone number and told me to kick rocks. I have used hertz for years an... read more
