Hertz in San Marcos provided the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The cars were dirty, the location was remote and inconvenient, and they don’t offer a ride home. They also don’t answer calls and were an hour late delivery of my reservation without any explanation or apology. It’s clear they have no regard for customer timing or satisfaction. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone – avoid it at all costs.

Would leave zero stars if I could. I made a reservation on Priceline and went to pick up my vehicle and they couldn’t find my reservation. They told me to cancel and rebook my reservation for me. I tried calling before I showed up to the office and of course nobody answered the phone. It is now the day that I am supposed to return my vehicle and I am needing to extend my rental but cannot get a hold of their office.
