Location was understaffed on my visit. Waited an hour with a reservation. Waited another 40 minutes for him to "bring the car around." During this time there were six customers in the store and no staff. Given a car that was filthy inside and out and smelled strongly of smoke and weed, and staff walked away after handing me the keys. I kept the car for the short term rental because that was easier than dealing with the process of trying to switch it. The one guy performing four jobs (Chris) was terrific BUT because they’re sorely understaffed it took 95 minutes to pick up a prepaid rental. Totally ridiculous. They need to get their act together. Meanwhile, use Enterprise. Costs more but time is valuable.
The entire experience of renting of vehicle with Hertz was in violation with CDC regulations and subpar to say the least. I made a reservation with the company a week prior to renting to vehicle, and upon coming to pick up the vehicle, I had to wait over an hour. The original vehicle was not clean and was switched out. The second vehicle (the vehicle I drove, a 2023 Kia Soul) was also not cleaned. I waited while it was detailed.
