Hertz did not honor the price that I had contracted for. They completely changed the rental 2 days before my rental date. Lots of stress for me and I had to pay twice what I expected
This place is poorly run and and very ghetto. The customer service is non existent and it is severly understaffed. Be prepared to wait a while and try to avoid being helped by Roz. Shes extremely fake nice and is huge reason the experience feels like the DMV.
I reserved a vehicle for pickup at 12:00 PM today. When I arrived, I was assisted by an agent named Roz, who asked for my driver’s license and credit card, which I provided. She told me she needed to scan my driver’s license, so she took both my credit card and license into a back room. I found this unusual, as I expected the documents to be scanned at the counter. I had an A+ experience this morning with Vanessa. She greeted me with a wonderful energy, helped me work through a reservation issue on my end (not Hertz's fault at all), was so patient with my questions, and quickly helped me get a car even though my original reservation was for a different day (hertz wouldn't have known I was doing a pick-up that morning, so I wasn't even sure there would be a car). The whole interaction was enjoyable and I walked away happy.
No Gold/President pick up. The keys and the car is never ready for pick up for gold/president. Avoid both east bay locations.
