What a ridiculous manager who hates his job and what a lousy company to rent from…
Update to this complaint: The "response" offers a link to a support hub black hole too. This company is truly appalling. Meanwhile, they keep hounding my husband with phone calls like a credit card company. The people that call cannot do anything but collect fraudulent payment. I don't believe Hertz will be around long with this "customer service" We had to rent a car when ours was hit and being fixed. State Farm sent us to this place. It has been a terrible experience. We had to rent a car when ours was hit and being fixed. State Farm sent us to this place. It has been a terrible experience. They offered us two choices when we arrived, neither cleaned or officially checked in. We took a 2022 Tesla because that is what we are used to driving. It was filthy inside. There were food wrappers, the seats had stains of ketchup and other food and the steering wheel and other handles were sticky. My husband reluctantly took the car home. Mary G. had a reservation for a vehicle and when she arrived to pick it up, the agent advised that they didn't have any cars and could only give her a 12 or 18 passenger van (2025 Express 3500). Mary is 4'10" and is too petite for such a large vehicle. NOTE: there were at least 3 other Hertz vehicles in the lot; but the agent told Mary those were not theirs (although the vehicles were parked in "Hertz" specific parking spaces.. labeled, "Hertz").
