Got a rental paid for b y the work shop when my car was in service. The car I picked up at Hertz Mt View had ants 🐜 in it and I also found condoms in the trunk. Definitely not cleaned enough. I thought I could suffer through but then the display said the driver’s airbag was not working. The car I was given was mechanically unfit and a safety hazard. The steering would start wobbling at 55 mph and at 65 mph the car got almost out of control. I am lucky that I survived this situation driving on 85 North this evening. at the speed of 65 mph. I was with my wife, my daughter and my grandchild. I don’t believe Hertz can be so careless about their customers’ safety. I think I need to make a formal complaint to the authorities through a lawyer. I am extremely disappointed.

I’ve had consistently great experiences at the Hertz location in Mountain View. The staff here are always incredibly supportive, professional, and go out of their way to make sure I’m completely satisfied with both the vehicle and the rental price. Every car I’ve rented has been spotless, well-maintained, and ready to go when I arrive. Their customer service really stands out—it’s clear they care about getting things right. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a smooth and stress-free rental experience!

This was my first time renting from Hertz, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I reserved a full-size vehicle but was given a compact and then a mid-size instead, while being told they were "the same class." I had to return and ask multiple times before finally receiving a full-size car—six hours later. I was also told no vehicles were available, yet one appeared shortly after.
