Worst horrible location, very bad service, only one employee inside the facility. Dirty cars, tolls box not working. More than two hours waiting to pick up my dirty cars. They gave me different car.
When the car you reserve is available, things run smoothly. The problem I encountered, however, is that the corporate website allows anyone to make reservations, regardless of whether the requested vehicle is available or not. I made a reservation a few hours before, got my reservation number, and took an uber to the Mokena location only to be told that they don’t have a vehicle for me. Lesson learned: either don’t use this company or call and confirm before wasting a trip.
I am writing this review because the majority of the reviews for Hertz Mokena are negative and not at all reflective of my experience there. Enterprise is my normal go to and I am very familiar with their policies and am generally in and out in a few minutes. I had a noon rental and when I showed up and found parking, it was 12:02. The door was locked and the woman refused to give me the car that was prepaid for. They should NOT take rental appointments at closing time. TERRIBLE customer service.
Read the reviews is a must with this place. Their "manager special" is a box truck. The upgrade is an extra $40 dollars a day. Complete scam, they get you in and try to give you something you don't want then offer you a costly upgrade. I would rather pay the full price somewhere else just on how they do business. Zero stars.
