An insurance company arranged for a rental from Hertz in Mesquite while my car was being repaired. The Hertz rep. completed the paperwork and handed it to me for signature. The paperwork included the daily rental price and the "fuel purchase option" whereby Hertz will re-fill the tank upon return of the vehicle. I expressly asked the Hertz rep. if the insurance company was paying for all charges and I would not have to pay anything. She said yes. This place is AWFUL! The only bad experience I have ever had renting a car. They only had one car available and when I got it the car was super dirty. There were stains everywhere and dried stains on door and dash. They did not walk me to the car or tell me anything about the car or how to operate it. They do NOT tell you about the toll fees and that they use a contracted company that robs you. They charge $4.95 every time you use a tollway and then the toll fees. The most horrible company I have ever had to deal with. All the employees are rude and unprofessional. The entire company is unorganized. They drafted money from my account after telling me nothing would be. There was no walk through. I had to wait an hour to be picked up after we called three times and they said they were down the street. I would rather pay out of pocket else where than deal with this horrible company again.
