extremely poor service - arrived at 8am to hertz Melbourne downtown to a shop full of customers. I had booked months in advance to collect a car at 8am as I had an appointment at 1030 on the peninsula. I was told that this is just a reservation and doesn't guarantee pick up time? which is ironic when if you're late back with the car you get charged a fee. anyway, I didn't get to the front of the line until 9 am., to be told the car was not ready as it wasn't clean and they were getting more vehicles form Melbourne airport to... read more

I cannot recommend Hertz Bankstown enough. I was in a car accident and very distressed and very overwhelmed by the whole process. The team were kind, compassionate and took me through every step. I am extremely grateful for their help and compassion during a very difficult time for me.

It was unfortunate that the agreement of $550 was not honoured by Hertz Newman. Please, be careful everyone when hiring a car through Hertz. They haven't answered many of our queries and took more than $800 off of our account. $500 was only for cleaning as we had dog hair and smell. Everyone cleaning their cars know that this is absolutely a rip-off. I can send pictures of the car given to us and our dog hair found on it before we returned. A vacuum would do the job.
