Was charged a no-show fee, despite showing up to the counter for our reservation and being turned away (at midnight) because they didn't have a car available for us. We were left to scramble to find alternative accommodations. The girl at the counter was nice, but this is HORRENDOUS service. We will never utilize Hertz again.
DON’T RENT FROM THEM. We booked a 7-passenger vehicle for a week and paid in full ahead of time. When we arrived, we were told we had to pay an additional $675 deposit on top of what we had already paid. They gave us a Toyota 4Runner, and the vehicle drove terribly. When I called to let them know about the issue, I was told that it was “normal” for 4Runners. That was never disclosed at the time of booking, which was very disappointing. READ THE REVIEWS. This location has horrible reviews, for a reason. DON'T RENT FROM THEM. File a complaint about this franchisee. Car not ready upon arrival. Rate increased by 8.5% from my confirmed reservation. They say a tax increased but cannot specify which, and every explanation they tried doesn't add up to the difference. They tried to blame it on the taxes recently change and my reservation was made in the past, so I booked next week and it came out exactly the same... Called to rent a car, they charged me, gave me a confirmation number and told me where to pick my car up. I arrived and said I had a car reserved and the lady laughed and said “we don’t have cars” and I said “well I already paid for it” she said “oh well” and ignored me after that. Called customer service back and it took TWO HOURS for them to give a refund they kept saying they couldn’t refund me even though I never got a car. Horrible experience.
