Terrible experience. We drove straight through from Kalispell, Montana to La Crosse, Wisconsin. We were told if we were back in under 24 hours that we would only be charged for one day. We got back in 22 hours, and dropped the car off at the location, which was not open. We were originally instructed when we picked the car up that this was possible so we were to put the keys in a drop box and write our arrival time on the paperwork and put it with the key. Rented from Hertz Oregon this summer and had a great experience. Booked a week long rental in La Crosse and their location's policy is that you need a credit card. No where was that stated when I booked. So I had to frantically book a car from Avis for twice as much. Will always go Budget/Avis from now on.
